The median age for first marriage is now the oldest since the U.S. Census started keeping track in 1890. 
A study from the University of Texas-Austin by sociologist Norval Glenn shows that those who marry in their early to mid-20s are not only happier and less likely to break up than those who marry in their late 20s, but they are also more satisfied with their relationship than those who marry at age 30 or later.
