A $1.066 million grant, awared to AVANCE, from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation aims to help Hispanic families escape poverty through classes in early childhood development, parenting, adult literacy and healthy marriage.
AVANCE is no stranger to promoting marriage, they have been recipients of multiple grants under the Healthy Marriage & Responsible Fatherhood Initiatives.
Will we see other organizations take similar leaps and seek foundation or private funding to continue promoting healthy marriage long after government grants are gone? I sure hope so.
