The annual British Social Attitudes report discovered that fewer than four out of 10 adults aged between 18 and 34 believe that marriage is the best kind of relationship, compared with more than eight out of 10 pensioners. The survey findings came on the heels of another government report that more young Britons will prefer to live together without the benefit of a marriage, which would make wed couples a minority by 2010.
